Teledyne Systems Co.: The company, now part of Allegheny Teledyne Inc., paid $13.95 million in November 1997 to settle a case involving issues as to whether Teledyne was properly allocating, between the government and commercial customers, indirect costs relating to calibration services.

Rockwell International Co. and Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory: Rockwell and the lab paid $450,000 in July 1993 to settle a False Claims Act case brought by a former employee. The lawsuit charged that Rockwell improperly charged the government for materials and employees used to build and design expensive trinkets and other items that were given to officials at Lawrence Livermore and others.
