Common types of fraud 

A qui tam lawsuit under the False Claims Act can be filed in any instance where the government is defrauded, either because a company or an individual made false claims or made false statements to avoid paying money it owes to the government (excluding taxes). This section describes many of the most common types of fraud and provides examples.
